Disciplines
A number of disciplines have been identified for the classification structure as shown in the table below. As the structure is locally developed and follows the four-level structure it is well placed for further expansion to provide for disciplines not currently included. We are open to collaborating with others to cater for any such requirements whilst keeping the integrity of the classification structure in place.
Benefits
Ability to standardise asset registers to industry best practice data structure and categorisation. This provides a solid asset baseline that enhances capital planning, performance analysis and application of technologies such as analytics.
Can be applied to existing databases to provide a standard structure without disrupting any existing categorisation.
